Parents & Carers Asked to Share Their Views on SEND System

If your child has special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), here’s your chance to have a real say in how things could improve locally.
Rosie Wrighting, MP for Kettering, has launched a survey specifically for parents, carers, and staff working with children with SEND. She wants to hear from people across Kettering, Burton Latimer, Desborough, Rothwell and surrounding villages about what is and isn’t working within the SEND system — and what might make things better.
The feedback will be shared with the Department for Education as they soon plan to announce reforms to SEND provision. Rosie Wrighting has said that many families feel their children aren’t getting the education they deserve, and that too many are being let down. This survey is a key chance to let decision-makers know where the system is failing and what changes are urgent.
Some local work has already been happening: a recent survey by North Northamptonshire Parent Carer Voice got over 500 responses, including some from young people, and is being used by the council to improve services, communication and support.
